CASS 15 comes into force today.
Recent industry research shows only 13% of UK payment institutions and EMIs are reconciling daily, the cadence the FCA now requires. The gap between perceived and actual readiness is no longer theoretical. It is regulatory exposure.
Firms still deciding how to act this week are mostly looking for a vendor solution. That is the wrong starting point. CASS 15 is a data architecture problem before it is a platform problem. Daily reconciliation cadence, formal break management, regulatory return preparation. None of these are solved by tooling alone. They are solved by defining what good looks like at the data layer first, then selecting the platform that can execute against that definition.
We have published two documents that map this directly.
The CASS Reconciliation Architecture document sets out what good looks like for CASS 7 and CASS 15. Source data design, match logic, break taxonomy, and the proof cycle the FCA now requires.
The Intelligent Vendor Selection document covers the procurement framework. How to evaluate platforms against your actual requirements rather than against a sales pitch. Vendor-independent, written by practitioners who have implemented across multiple platforms.
Both are documented on this website.
The first monthly safeguarding return covers June and is filed in July. Firms embedding the daily cadence now will produce a clean first return. Firms still in spreadsheets in three weeks will not.
For firms running the procurement under deadline pressure, ReconIQ delivers fixed-fee diagnostic engagements. Vendor-independent. Scoped to your data environment. Deliverable inside the audit window.
